This use to be my family’s go-to for dinner. However, last night we had a terrible experience. The prawns were overcooked and rubbery. The lemon-butter sauce was definitely not the usual classic lemon-butter sauce, tasted like white sauce mixed with butter. The salmon used for the sushi tasted off and therefore I couldn’t eat my meal. The manager did not seem worried by our complaint. This ocean basket will not see us again.

Havnt been here in a while (over 3 years yet I live around) and yesterday reminded me why. Food was terribly cold, prawns were very very rubbery , I know calamari has a rubbery texture but these were definitely not cooked properly. Rice and chips were not fresh. The standard here is not good at all.

Do not order the hake soup. It's a small pudding bowl of cold floury tasteless gloop hiding fish skin and bones. Sent back twice to be reheated. Horrible experience. Waiter was great and really tried to improve the situation.

Really Great Service.. The manager Thabang had our food on the Table at requested time.. The Full Deck Platter filled 2 take away containers as we were fasting and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. When we walked in he brought the rolls immediately like he read our minds.. I will definitely choose this Ocean Basket over any other

So the good thing about this joint is their sushi. Its fresh, clean and tasty. The things that concern me is that the store get really busy, and the prawns arent all that yummy. Almost tastes a little stale. I love the fusion crunch platter

Not great. Food took long to arrive despite the restaurant not being busy. Service in general is slow. I have had better quality food at other Ocean Basket branches.

A totally horrible experience 2 times in a row. Slow to get menus, slow to take orders, the starter bread and butter only arrived after the main course, extremely slow for mains to arrive. Food arrived with undercooked sides. Just a no. What is happing to this Ocean Basket branch? They used to be so good, now its just a mess.
