Over friendly bar lady, way too obnoxious. Good quality food, not the best steak in Rustenburg.

While Hartley's Pub does not have an extensive menu, what it does offer is tasty, simply cooked and well-worth the price paid. The ambience is friendly, relaxed and extends a neighbourly and cheerful welcome to its customers. The young bartender, Dylan, is quick to learn his customer's names and likes and has a great memory, which lures us back. Generally, it is once or twice a month that I indulge in eating the 350g t-bone steak with baked potato and a requested "portion" of the garnish. It is always tender and not drowned in spices and sauces that completely mask the flavour of the meat. Hot chocolate on a cold night is a lovely indulgence. Hartley's feels like coming to visit really good friends who do not demand your attention - you can just "be". Although I have not eaten it, friends say that the Eisbein is a real treat. I love the quiet, tree shaded environment and occasional visit from affectionate dogs who belobg to residents. They do not bother, but lie in companionable silence at one's feet. A lovely bolt hole.

The food I tried from Hartley's Pub and Restaurant was delicious. The Lamb Shank Pie is worth mentioning as it is simply amazing. Actually, I haven't tasted food so good, the pastry was flaky and buttery and a golden colour. The meat was succelent and lip-smacking good!

Had an early dinner (and a few cold ones) here after a business meeting, and a great place to visit.

Friendly staff, and exceptional food. Great pricing too.

Definitely recommended!!!!

Great food. I haven't been for years but when I am next in South Africa I will have to make a trip to Hartley's!. Food is awesome. staff were great. Lisanne (think that's how you spell it) had a great personality and made you feel at home.

Food was top notch!. beer was cold!. But we still need to set a few things straight about Australia and New Zealand !!. haha.

Lovely spot!.

This must be the only place in Rustenburg that can get a "medium-rare" steak right! Their food is always tasty and the service extremely friendly and welcoming.
