I previously posted a rate of 3 stars, but this morning I needed to shop for my business and as I walked in, I was greeted. Then I was assisted as I went through the isles and finally the Teller was even more pleasant. It made all the difference and I think it should be acknowledged.

It’s always a good experience visiting Builders Warehouse Fourways. Parking is usually not a problem. Items are easy to find on the shelves and if you need assistance staff are usually easy to find. From my experience there are enough tellers so the line moves quickly.

What useless service. No wonder Merlin is doing better. They do not deliver when they say they will. They say they have stock when they don't, but are all too happy to take your money. And when you try and call them you have to go through the call centre and then the shop apparently never answers fir 20min. Absolutely no understanding that their actions cost people money. This is now my 3rd bad experience with this chain and here I thought it was only an isolated problem at Malibongwe, but No, bad service in now in their culture across the board.

I have been a regular customer to this shop, not because its best, its only because its near. The sales consultants are very lazy. In fact they are very negative. Today i could not even get a sales man/female on the issue of gas heaters that are just placed as rubble ready to be thrown away. Very lazy and negative staff members!

As with many others builder's warehouses, you have to go on your very own "Mission Impossible" to try and find a staff member, and then hope they they aren't pulling a long face and are keen/eager to help you as the customer.

Also the parking situation is bad, there are car guards that almost intimidate you into give them a tip. Not an enjoyable experience at all.

Absolutely brilliant service from Sipho at the Fourways branch in the garden section. He went above and beyond to source a particular pot I wanted and when he couldn’t find one with the manufacturer he tracked one down at another Builders branch and followed up to make sure I’d received it! What a special Employee of Builders ????????✅ Thank you Sipho and Builders.

If you want the best customer service, better than what you will get at the biggest two retail stores in South Africa, ask for Theo. He saw me confused and offered his services, then he just proceeded to gave the best service I ever got in Johannesburg. Thank you very much Theo.
