Value for money u0026 super fresh! We got 36 pieces of salmon sushi, crispy pork ribs u0026 rice u0026 edamame, cream cheese and prawn dim-sum for R495! It was extremely fresh and ready within 20 minutes. Definitely one of my favourites going forward!

Wait forever for terrible sushi!! Waited almost an hour to receive the wrong order. Warships instead of Wasabi Fashion Sandwiches, the Sushi Cake does not look anything like the photo on the menu, but is rather rice with mayonnaise slopped on top with what looks like they saved 1 last strawberry for my order. They let me order the sushi cake (strawberry thing) but told me it wasn't on the special (Because that is for "Normal" sushi - not sure what that is LOL) which was fine but when I queried this I was told they don't make it on a Monday. Maybe that's why I got the last strawberry LOL. Not worth the wait, not worth the money, and certainly not worth changing from your regular sushi spot.

We eat with our eyes... Need I say more.. This order was Crispy Duck and Chicken Chow Mein... The colour alone says enough!
Beyond salty, no veg? The spring rolls well presented yet too much ginger.. Waited SO long for our food to have found this!!!
What a disappointed!!!!

Normally I really like this place but yesterday 13 Aug 2021, I phoned ahead to place an order for pick up at 18:20, I arrived to collect my food at 18:45, the food was still not ready, then I waited a further 15 min and only got my food at 19:00, and the worst part about it was that the staff were so unhelpful and in no hurry to to get my food to me, even though I asked a few times and what really irritates me about the situation was it was only 1 order of beef Foo Yong, nothing else, essentially 40 min to cook one dish. Ridiculous
Edit - today 21 Jan 2021, I ordered a lunchbox 2, 12 piece sushi platter, ordered at 17:51, went there after 30 minutes to collect and still waited an extra 30 minutes for my order, this place is a joke

If waiting 2 hours for food is your thing, this is the place for you. Called and ordered ahead,was told food would be 30 minutes, arrived and saw several other clients waiting, kept on being told only a few more minutes, but eventually had to throw in the towel, cancelled order and made other plans.AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Golden Rose at Cambridge Crossing has been our go to place for sushi for more than 2 years now and we have been mostly satisfied with the quality of the sushi. However, the sushi we had last night was terrible. The rice was old, the meat was old (and skimpy), even the ginger was old, and the sushi was overall tasteless. This is not what we are used to from Golden Rose. I really hope this is not the new standard.

EDIT: I reached out to the manager on email and we resolved the issue. The next time we ordered, it was the same top quality sushi that we know Golden Rose for. The rice, meat and ginger was fresh and we really enjoyed it a lot. They really do go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy their food, so always give them feedback if you're not happy with your order.
