Second time visiting Vredenheim and I’m surprised with the variety of activities they have on offer. This time we went to try their Quince Gin but instead found a WALL of gin. They claim over 160 locally made Craft Gin's in the collection. I couldn’t fit them all into a single photo so who knows, it may well be true. They offer three different types of tasting to suite both your budget and your pallet. The later I especially appreciated because I’m not a big gin drinker. They know the various products on offer and can make recommendations based on your taste. I stand to be corrected but don’t think there are as many gin distillers offering individual tastings as say wine farms for example, so this is a great way to be able to experience different types of gin without having to buy each bottle from your local store. After enjoying some fun gin trivia from our server, everybody (eventually) made their selections, I settled on the barrel aged Quince Gin (beautiful honey coloured) and we settled outside in the garden. No longer reserved for grannies only anymore, this was a fun afternoon and I’ll definitely be back.
