Second time visiting Vredenheim and I’m surprised with the variety of activities they have on offer. This time we went to try their Quince Gin but instead found a WALL of gin. They claim over 160 locally made Craft Gin's in the collection. I couldn’t fit them all into a single photo so who knows, it may well be true. They offer three different types of tasting to suite both your budget and your pallet. The later I especially appreciated because I’m not a big gin drinker. They know the various products on offer and can make recommendations based on your taste. I stand to be corrected but don’t think there are as many gin distillers offering individual tastings as say wine farms for example, so this is a great way to be able to experience different types of gin without having to buy each bottle from your local store. After enjoying some fun gin trivia from our server, everybody (eventually) made their selections, I settled on the barrel aged Quince Gin (beautiful honey coloured) and we settled outside in the garden. No longer reserved for grannies only anymore, this was a fun afternoon and I’ll definitely be back.

A wonderful experience! The owner is very knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for gin. There are many different gin options to choose from for the tasting, so you will absolutely find something to your taste. Even on a rainy day, the bar has a great vibe.

This has been my favourite gin tasting experience so far - mostly due to the impressive selection of local and foreign craft gins available for tasting. The waitresses was friendly and informative but still gave us plenty of time to review our gin choices between ourselves. I can't wait for my next visit and to try a new selection of gins. We paid R95 to taste any 3 and this includes a tonic and garnishes.

Such an amazing experience. The staff are very friendly and informative. We paid R105 for a premium gin and tonic tasting. You get to select 3 gins and you get a premium tonic which tasted amazing. I would highly recommend the strawberry and lemon gin tasting. You can also do wine tasting on the same property and they have an amazing garden and zebras!

If you are a gin lover you definitely need to make some time to visit Classic Cats at Vredenheim. They have such a large variety of gins available that you may at first be overwhelmed by all the options. Luckily the staff are very knowledgeable and the gins are grouped into different categories helping you to find the one that matches your taste. You can do a tasting or you can just go for a old classic like a Ginu0026Tonic with a choice of standard or premium tonic. The drinks are beautifully presented and very tasty. We decided to sit at the bar area, but they also have an outside seating area on a big lawn, perfect for those lovely summer afternoons. Some of the gins are also available for purchase, and part of the Classic Cats appeal is the classic cars that they showcase that are also available to hire for special occasions.

What an experience. I wish there can be more places like this that wish to give you an experience and a treat. Yes, it is a little expensive, but what else do you expect from a craft beverage. Also, the personnal were super friendly and knowledgeable. Not sure if this is viable, but something such as a gin club membership, with a few benefits, could possibly also attract more people to your place. I'd love to come more frequently and taste the various gins available on the market, and such a reward system could go a long way to attract those kind clients. All in all, thanks for making my day well worth the drive to Vredenhein.
