Honestly one of the best sushi buffets I've been to. The R179 buffet is really worth it. The sushi off the menu is fresh and delicious. The staff is overall very friendly and helpful.

I ordered the 100 piece Sushi Platter, was blown away! Amazing deal, very very impressed with the chefs and staff. Will 100% be ordering again. Thanks guys.

A lovely piece of hair on my sushi. No apology, the waiter just took it away. Do not recommend. The waiter did not bring the manager or even try to make it right. I had to inspect every piece of sushi my partner and I ate after that. The sushi belt itself was dirty. Pieces of food and hair. A bit of soap goes a long way!

I do love sushi, and the great thing about Asami is that the sushi is really fresh. I know that's odd to say as one would expect fresh food when dining out, but overall the food was very fresh which is very important when it comes to seafood. However, I did find their portions small even when advertising R285 for 50 pieces, when said pieces are half the size than some takeaways for half the price.
I think their buffet is a better option at R199 for all you can eat, but I suggest you go really hungry.
It was a nice restaurant, but I have had better and slightly faster service from other established sushi places. Not a bad place to eat, on the contrary, but for those on a budget and with winter looming, I would recommend a good takeaway sushi place and stay indoors to watch some movies.

Excellent service and THE BEST Sushi in Cape Town. Definitely our Go-to restaurant. Amazing experience with Great staff. Kudos to the Junior managers for their service!

Service was sickeningly slow. The quality of the prawn fried rice was inferior with store bought frozen veg used and prawns waterlogged and rubbery. Very disappointing overall experience.

We went for the shusi special recently and to compare the experience with the previous experience was very shocking.
The waitresses was unhelpful upon arrival after phoning numerously and being told its "just a walk in" special and when arriving we were told we should have booked a place.
The belt was not being filled but when our food came it was amazing ???? just a little better management would do wonderful
