Went on 3 July 2022 just after 5pm (I think they close at 7pm on a Sunday). Had the cosmopolitan to share (it was very sweet) and you can get about 6 glasses out of it. We also ordered a seafood platter for 2 and it was very delicious. A big thank you to our server, Duncan for his friendliness and assistance. They played really good music as well.

Went there for lunch on Sunday. We ordered platter for two. Platter is quite big, a lot of food. Mostly it is was good, except that they add lots of butter to the food making it too oily. Also mussels didn’t have any flavour. But other than that we enjoyed the meal and enjoyed the atmosphere there. Waiter was friendly.

We had an Absolutely incredible experience! The food was 5 star and the service from Martin was way above and beyond what you find in most restaraunts of late. The owner was very friendly and was hands on working in his kitchen to ensure the food was top quality. A true example of how other restaurants should be managed. We will be back soon :) Many thanks from David, Angie and Paul.

There is something about this Ocean Basket branch that is unmatched to any other one in Cape Town. The waiters are friendly and helpful without causing irritation, the service is genuine, the music is lovely, the space is clean, the food arrives quickly. I don’t go to Tygervalley much but whenever we do come back it’s just surprising how good the service is compared to the other branches. Thank you very much and keep up the hard work.

Hmm. The food was perfect, but this 1 star is for a waiter there who expected a big tip from my parents and I. All fake nice throughout the time we were there, but his true colors were shown when my dad paid. Opgeruk quick quick, no more Mr. Nice Guy and weg was hy. How bloody unprofessional. You shouldn't show disdain to PAYING customers. Customers should not be expected to give tips. The bill was expensive enough.

Vegan options could be better. Why would you add olive to sushi. Its way too sour. I prefer John dorys vegan sushi platter but applaud ocean basket for adding this to their menu.

I would just like to thank Walter for the awesome service we received earlier this evening. My husband and I made dinner reservations at a well known 5 star restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The service and food was so terrible that we ended up walking out. Our last visit to OB Hazendal and a few others prior to that was super disappointing. We decided we done with OB for good. To be honest OB was the last restaurant I thought I'd end up celebrating our special day. It was also one of the only restaurants still open. I'm so glad we ended up at OB Tygervalley . The food was amazing and Walter made our evening extra special with a special "anniversary treat" Thank you for restoring our faith in OB. I will definitely visit again.
