Great environment with great food. They have an incredible lunch special too. These meal options were R85 each.The food was amazing, however we were deeply disappointed in the chocolate brownie and nut sundae. Furthermore, this was definitely a restaurant I'll visit again. Thank you for the excellent service Basilico.

The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The waiting time was decent for the food. Service was okay. It could be improved. Waiter was not always available when you needed him and it wasn’t that busy that day. Atmosphere was great. It was very hot that day. The windows were open but I think the aircon would have worked better or at least have the shades drawn. But overall great time and would definitely go again

Lucius and I went 2 days in succession. We had the best pizzas ever in our lives! Perfect thin basses, wood fired. Generous toppings.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Was surprisingly full for a Thursday night. Top and bottom seating and option to sit on balcony. They had one vegan pizza available. It was nice but needed some sort of spice to give it more taste, especially when using coconut cheese.

Awesome date night! We really wanted to go out but didn't want to go anywhere far... found Basilico in Newlands - around the corner from where I live! The food was immaculately tasty and their spin on Italian cuisine was fresh and original. definitely will be visiting again. Soon

You can never go wrong with Basilico…

Either as a quick dinner for two or a family pizza evening, great food, great service, great atmosphere.

King Alfred was our waiter and he did an amazing job looking after us….

The Pork fillet was out of this world and beer on tap…. What more do you need to end your week.

We will be back!

What a lovely restaurant. Our 1st visit there so can only comment in the 2 dishes we had. Our waiter was very friendly and attentative. We had the calamari and chorizo pizza and calamari, feta and tomatoe pasta. The pasta portion was huge and soooo tasty. Calamari was soft and tender. The chorizo on the pizza was great (many restaurants use a cheap version and it doesn't taste good). The pizza was also divine. Nice thin base with a generous amount of toppings. Would definitely recommend these two options if you enjoy eating calamari.
