Wonderful choice of cakes and coffee, Rooibos and otger teas, all served with style and friendliness.
Choose to sit inside or outside under sunshade, next to the relaxing water fountains, where kids play on warmer days.
Loyalty card for hot beverages. Worth a 2nd visit.

Excellent experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The wine is of great quality and taste. Throughout the range of wines/products one find that the quality of wine is extreme quality. The unique taste of each wine is draw international wine connoisseur standard. No wonder international visitors frequently visit this establishment. Adding to this, the menu is extremely tasteful. Good tastes all over! My family and I enjoy this experience! Well done, keep doing what you do well! Gerhard

Nice to have one in Cape Town. Tried a few slices from here as takeaway. The caramel velvet was not great, very sweet and heavy. The Mozart was divine, passionfruit cheesecake was also good and the chocolate cake was decent. Nice little coffee shop and some of the other desserts also look good. Not amazing but a decent place for a coffee and cake. I would pass by for the Mozart cake again

Bad service. A fly landed on my daughter's order as the waiter brought it, she pointed it out and said she doesnt want this... After an argument they changed the order and then, while we were still sitting and about to enjoy the cake they came with a mop and bucket, started moving the furniture and proceeded to mop around our feet as if to hurry us as they were closing. Will never go back. Their hospitality is bad and the manager a rude oaf

Just a note on how important it is for bussines to keep your Google page up to date.
I am rather dissapointed. I googled your store for directions - your Village Square store shows a open and trading, we drove all the way from Milnerton to Durbanville to try out your cakes, however to our suprise, your shop is no longer at the centre as advertised on Google. We had to call the number on the website to find out that you had moved.

At last Chateau Gateaux has made its way to Cape Town, this patisserie has been my all time favourite in Durban! All cake lovers have got to try it, each cake is a masterpiece as if designed by Picasso himself. Decadent and luxurious to the palette, promising a heaven on earth sensation of tastes. Whether you feel for a quick snack and coffee with mini individual cakes to satisfy you or a frozen gourmet cake for birthdays and all occasions. Prices are unbeatable and will lure you in for more!
