My fav spot for a relaxed afternoon drink :)
They have a room with a few slot machines and have specials on different drinks sometimes. Lovely, friendly bar ladies, tv with sports, indoor smoking area.

I always get a warm welcome from the bar maid who has known me for a long time, and feel free just to sit down and have a glass of wine on my own.
Reasonable prices.

The best of the local traditional pubs on the fan walk, from Buitengragh street to Cape Town Stadium. The atmosphere is that of and old English Corner pub complete with the long bar and individual private seating. Extremely cosy and private.

Main reason for this rating is the memories, if the walls could talk my goodness the stories they could tell. This bar is an icon in Cape Towns nightlife.
On a less nostalgic note the service was okay and beverages served cold

As legend as it gets????????this bar has been around for a real long time.
