The Hike up to West Peak is moderate.
There is a section just before you go over the top that is not clearly marked and one could go up and over two ways. One way calls for scrambling up a thin crevice which I don't recommend at all as it is crumbling and very dangerous. I think people have used it too many times as it is more direct. However, the other way requires going around which appears to be leading in the opposite direction, but it does zigzag back and over the top. It is not much longer and is much safer.
Plenty of water is needed. You can do this hike there and back within 5-6 hours. The walk once you're ontop continues up until you get to the summit.
Reward yourself with lunch and gaze at the amazing 360° views all around.
It's spectacular.
There are a few hairy points and one does need to be cautious. Wear proper hiking shoes and take it slowly when you're on the side going up as there are a few drops.
There are a few sections you may need to do some climbing with arms and legs and if you have a fear of heights - some bum sliding, but otherwise it's fine.
