I stayed here in 2017, and I remember it so fondly that I'll share my experiences. The rooftop terrace is the best feature, since it offers city and mountain views (pic attached). The bar is great, and the complimentary breakfast is ample. The location is pretty good; there are many shops and restaurants nearby. The staff is so friendly, and I felt right at home. Thank you so much for this experience! I know where I'll stay next time.

Good location to get around but dodgy area outside. They have new and old rooms. Rooftop was super chill and well priced bar, cheaper than anywhere else. Dinners were good and well priced. The chef always hooked it up! Breakfast included is average but it's there. Facilities were nice. Staff was cool and friendly, helpful.

Great experience. Stayed in the hostel for 5 nights and loved the at home feeling provided by the staff members. Would not have changed it for another hostel. Always clean and safe and it is a good, yet walking distance, from the happenings of Long Street. I definitely recommend HomeBase for anyone looking for accommodation in a prime location in Cape Town.

This is the perfect place to stay in Cape town if you want to meet people and have fun. It's clean. The staff is really nice and do everything they can for you to have a good time. There is also a big terrace with a nice view and a bar. I had the best time there!

The most best experience in cape town. Best staff workers with best attitudes and full assistance provided it suits their job description. Not forgetting the hostel managers work best to accommodate and make guests feel comfortable and feel they belong

Very good for a backpackers. Professional, efficient staff. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good security measures, so you feel safe despite being in the heart of the Mother City. Nice view from the balcony.

The best backpackers in South Africa bar none. Extremely vibrant and positive energy, fantastic people, and all around good vibes. You'll fall in love with everyone, as they become your family. Definitely recommend to everyone. (wish I could give 100/5 stars)
