My very last meal in South Africa and likely the best. The owners were so friendly and the tripe and pap was flavoured so well. They were surprised at a white guy ordering it but they had a great sense of humour. It smells so good in there and the prices can't be beat. Just go already!

Absolutely loved my first time experience here! Got a very warm welcome! Had a beautiful culinary experience and the host was very warm and welcoming. Loved the tea as well! Truly had a great time. I highly recommend it!! Especially for those longing for a taste of home away from home.

Absolutely brilliant. Excellent food. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. This is is THE place if you’re looking to try some genuine East African cuisine. My Ugandan wife suggested it and we were both blown away.

Service was shocking, waiting time was more than an hour before our food was on the table. Make matters worse l phoned them before visiting and asked them about the availability of things l wanted to order and they confirmed. Story short waiter kept telling us few minutes which turned out to be an hour twenty eight minutes to be precise to get our food. Vegetables were poorly cooked, and having soil which affected my teeth after grinding unexpectedly. Owner needs to reconsider an act swiftly on these aspects to succeed , in the mean time I wouldn't recommend anyone to the restaurant ????

For tourists:

I usually try not to give bad reviews to a restaurant, but I do not want another tourist to take a bad or rather mediocre experience from such a beautiful country.

As soon as I arrive there was an angry couple that was just leaving because they had been waiting for there food for more than 45 min and never arrive.

I was very hungry but decided to stay, (maybe it was just a momentarily problem in the kitchen, rather odd since the restaurant was empty).

After waiting for about 50 min my beef stew arrived, and what really passed me off was the portion size, it was literally served on a small cup and had 3 pieces of beef.

I didn't want to be unpolite, so I just ordered the bill and went to Gatsby palace.

It is a Shame :( I really wanted to have a better experience with Tanzanian food

One of the good affordable East African cuisine restaurant. Tanzanian food, few are similar to Indian/Asian cuisine. Good food u0026 pocket friendly. They had lovely picture gallery of many visitors. Not too crowded, you can have food in a quiet u0026 nice ambience.
