The place is clean and tidy. The floor staff were friendly, helpful, and informative. However, I encountered the lady at the till (pictured) who was absolutely rude and had a terrible attitude. This left a bitter taste in my mouth. I addressed the manager on duty (Melissa) who said that she would address this with the head office. It just takes one bad apple in a company to give the entire place a bad name.

One of my go to pet stores. They a bit pricey compared to the one closer to me, but they have a much much larger selection of fish and products. Their service is always great and they will be happy to give you good sound advice. The funny thing was that the guy from the fish section ran all the way from the tanks to the tills just to make sure they charging me the correct amount for the non labelled products. Nice of him.

This is an amazing store. Has everything for your pets and if they don't their friendly animal loving staff will order for you. The great plus for me is that this is the only place that sticks my cats food. She is only able to eat specific food. Saved me traveling all over to find kitty grub. Thank you

We went to visit Petworld last week looking for some female guppies for our community tank, and I was very saddened by what I saw. Upon arrival we were told that they had just received a batch of female guppies that morning. I immediately realized that these fish clearly do not go through a quarantine period when they arrive at the store as one would hope. When I arrived at the guppy tank I was horrified to see that seven of the ten female guppies were terribly sick. One was so deformed that she barely looked like a guppy, two were covered in white spots and the remaining four had fin rot and were terribly skinny. There was also a female in with the male guppies who was spinning around upside down. It really does not take an expert to see that these fish were extremely sick and very close to death. Also, these illnesses are contagious to other aquarium fish.

I would suggest better stockists and a proper quarantine period for all new fish, as well as training your employees to recognize basic signs of illness so that it can be addressed immediately.

I would definitely not advise for anyone new to the hobby to buy fish here unless you are already proficient at recognizing illnesses yourself. Do not have to rely on the staff for information, do your own research.

The staff were very friendly and the shop was neat and clean. Just a pitty that the fish we went to buy were dying.

Bought a new fresh water tank set up from Pet World N1 City - brand new, never been used before. Ran the tank as was suggested for a week with no fish, got the PH balance and the ammonia levels correct before going back to PW N1 city to get fish for a very excited 8 year old. I noticed that there were small white spots on the fish I bought but didn't think much of it - fast forward a week and a half later, fish are heavily infected with what I realized was a parasite (thanks Google), and thereafter died. I was left with 4 dead fish and a traumatized 8 year old.

I emptied out the tank, sterilized the gravel and items within, including the filters, ran it for another week and then went to PW N1 city, and dealt again with an uninterested lad that sold me the sick fish, pointed out other fish in his displays that were dead/dying and his response was, we sometimes get batches that are infected. None the less, he showed me a few other fish, said that those were fine, and I bought them and went home with a happy 8 year old.

Guess what - history repeated itself and the fish are now all dead. It's pathetic that a chain store like PW can't adequately quarantine and treat their stock - unless this is the basis of their entire sales strategy - fleece the consumer for everything they can. Shame on you guys. I'll never go back to your store or support you guys in any shape or form - ever again and I don't recommend anyone else ever does.

Absolutely terrible store! Always dead fish and am unwell looking bunny that had a runny tummy upon asking one of the assistants they said it's normal and bunny is just sleeping. Won't be returning, never proper assistance and animals are not properly cared for in my opinion.
