Every afternoon before 16h00 the staff leave en masse and at speed down Flintale road. Yesterday I had cars overtaking a parked car barrelling towards me along with a cyclist riding on the wrong side of the road, gesturing his annoyance when I complained tryiing to navigate my way among them. I am taking this complaint further, as this has carried on for a while and they do not appreciate the fact that they are in a residential area. There is going to be a horrible accident one day and this cannot be allowed.

I have been fishing in the vlei for most of my life and recently I went to go fishing on the vlei, I have full permits to fish and belong to a fishing club but just wanted to spend the day on the water.. The fishing is great. But the city of cape Town members that run a kiyaking program basically chased us away saying it is there vlei and they do wat they want we must move to give them the space. Last time a checked the vlei is open to the public to fish or picnic but then we get treated like criminals. It is very unfair to fisherman being treated like this when we look after the vlei pick up the rubbish around us and practice catch and release.

I lived here for very many years u0026 its a beautiful location u0026 really good area to live in. Beautiful views of Princess Vlei. No opposite neighbours. Just the field u0026 the Vlei.

Parts of the park is pristene nature but others not so much
