Really enjoyed my time at backyard cafe..the only problem I have is that they don't have a variety of meals..their menu is very limited..we enjoyed the food and the tranquil of the garden ..just very disappointed in the flapjacks or pancakes with the Nutella and banana which was R78 which was very expensive and not so nice too.. whereas the brownie with ice cream was only R45 and to die for ..staff was very helpful and friendly and service was food too..

Held my sister's Bachelorette garden tea at The Backyard Cafe and it was a dream! The beautiful garden setting was perfect for our flower crown workshop. The food was delicious and stunningly presented. And the lama cake.... even better than I could have imagined! Thank you so much for making this special day go so smoothly!

The perfect definition of a Backyard Café.
What an incredible experience.
This beautiful Café is hidden right in the backyard of a wooden furniture store. The store does EVERYTHING with wood. The Café has a nature feeling that almost makes you forget that you are still in the busy suburbs. While you are enjoying the relaxing ambience try some of the food and drinks. They have a variety of breakfast, lunch, cakes, muffins (savory or sweet), smoothies for an healthier option, health fruit bowls, teas and coffees. Vegan options are also available. Go and relax. You wood not regret it ????

So I first came across this little gem on tik tok and immediately fell in love with this Backyard... It really is a backyard set up and it's a mix of modern and old school. I loved the different set up of tables and chairs, it's so rustic and homely. Waitresses are very friendly. The food is out of this world. This the place to do a catch up with a bestie or old school friends. You need to come early though for parking as it gets filled up pretty quickly and there is minimal parking. Awesome place from my first time

Stopped in for a quick breakfast with my son…. The food was amazing ! Well presented, so tasteful and delicious..

***Update***
Soooooo I've sneakily returned, incognito and it was for a quiche too......much better. Totally yummy. Juicy and simply delish! Just the way I know Backyard Cafe to be.
When I had my previous issue, the owner got in touch with me in a very friendly yet professional way.
I appreciated that.
I'm very happy that there are ongoing developments too. So now whether it's Brekkie or lunch or anything in between.......it's good, really good! It's not really a good place for younstas to be, but it's very safe. Great for mommies with prams to catch up or even book clubs who need a little peace and tranquility.....and to essentially be left alone to get on with thingies.....and have hot cuppas in the side, or a lovely cool glass of lemon water or two......

Service is and always has been awesome. These ladies do know what service is all about, even when you order a tricky coffee or meal....as my cousin does ❤️
Ambiance is so peaceful. It's definitely worth a try......like attending a Mad Hatters Tea Party under the trees without the dress up❤️❤️❤️❤️
