In their attempt to "upgrade" Checkers (their chief store), they are pricing themselves out of the local market (mainly retired people and students) and have stopped stocking the smaller sized items which are essential to single people on a limited budget.
There are only 2 coffee shops available, one in the health store and a new Starbucks - nowhere else to stop and relax after shopping.
At a time when the economy is tight for all especially with the current price of fuel, they have picked the wrong time for this sort of action.

Well organized and clean shopping center in the Rondebosch area. Anchored by Checkers and contains a bunch of other stores from Starbucks to FNB and more. Can definitely recommend as a decent shopping destination.

A small Mall and not extremely busy, yet with Checkers, Absa Bank, Standard Bank and the pharmacy, is but a few of places that provides service to it's customers. Should you require Pick n Pay, Clicks and other eateries, it is within walking distance while you leave your car parked at Riverside Shopping Centre.

Unfortunately the mall was closed when we got there. Went for Debonairs and Steers. Mall was clean and tidy. Parking was a challenge. I remember years ago there used to be a food inn. I'm guessing they close down.

It used to be much more oriented to the Rondebosch Residents and Community with long standing tennants who are very much missed...there is no longer a place for older persons or Mom's of school kids on their shopping trip to have a friendly budget coffee... more about cheap student and basics like banking ... printing posting and mobile devices
