Nice place to go to if you looking for a pure vegetarian place. The food is freshly prepared and delicious.

We ordered take away this time. The paneer curry was so delicious, soft and fresh. Kofta balls in the tomato chutney was yummy as always.

We also ordered the margherita pizza, it was freshly made and had a nice thin base. For the few times I have ordered pizza. It’s advised you phone and place the order as there isn’t really pizza on hand like the curry.

We also ordered the carrot cake so nice and fresh. My favourite is the chocolate cupcakes with cream. It’s to die for

I would highly recommend Govindas and definitely will be coming back

One of my best places in Cape Town - food is delicious and well priced and the people are super-friendly. I walk there at least twice a week from the office and its like having a relaxing and meditative experience. Very cool place.

most delicious, pure, sattvic vegetarian food in Cape Town :) and for less than your Indian Aunty could make it herself :) eat indoors or on the terrace in a calm, relaxed environment without having to worry about your belongings either! vegan options available all food here is violence free, especially yo cows .Thank you, Hari Krishna! ????????????

Very Tasty and Pleasing dishes.
Reminds me of when I first tasted Dishes from Govindas in the 90's.Simply love it and recommend to anyone who would like to appreciate a lovely vegetarian meal.

I always come here with my mother or friends We enjoy their variety of food for affordable price.

Please don't laugh at your customers, something that I notice to be disrespectful. I asked if I could get more eggplant ( potatoesu0026 eggplant curry) I was laughed at (for a long time) as if I said something funny. I am a regular here ( over 15 times!) and I did not expect that. Then when I went to pay,I said she can keep the change.... She laughed at me again....so rude!

Govindas is a awesome - I go for lunch at least once a week. Homey, tasty, consistent, yummy vegetarian fare. It’s a Hare Krisna spot and they share their calm and non-violent atmosphere with everyone. Everyone is welcome, whether you’re religious or not. Wonderful, quiet respite from the work day!
