Great quality food at reasonable prices. I can quite honestly say that this is THE BEST Vegan / Vegetarian food in town!!! I have tried a variety of their dishes over the past six weeks and can unquestionably say that their supreme quality and the deliciousness of their food is unmatched. Their attention to detail in the making of EVERY dish leaves something to be desired each and every time. Deliciousness with every bite! I’d recommend any and every one of their dishes - and all of their samoosas ❤️

Not shabby at all Nige...

Unfortunately for me, only vegan food, but they do it so well, it does not matter.

The portions are enough for two medium sized people and enough to provide a large person with a good sized portion and munchy later to coincide with 20 past 4 requirements.

Can probably feed one small American...

Good food, good price and friendly folk.

Do it if you like curry.

OMG I AM IN LOVE! First of all, I don’t even like vegetarian food, like I just have meat or it feels like I haven’t eaten at all. This is one of my all time favorite Indian places and I want everyone to know about it. If you’re in the neighborhood and don’t know what to eat, come here, you will NEVER EVER regret it. I’ve tried about 4 different dishes here including the drinks and also the vegan cakes and when I tell you this place can do no wrong… man oh man. Anyway, even if you’re not in the neighborhood but live in Cape Town and are craving Indian food, please do yourself a favor and come here. They also have another location which is my new favorite in Constantia. Will post a separate review for that but why it’s my new favorite is because they have also a little shop where you can buy spices and frozen goodies.

Wow! I have always gone there to grab a takeaway slice of their decadent and moist vegan chocolate cake but today we decided to sit down and try some food as the aromas from the kitchen always tempt us. It was the best decision. As a vegan, I sometimes have to settle for disappointing options at restaurants but this menu is very vegan-friendly with no compromise on taste or quality. The butter (soya) chicken curry had layers of bursting flavour that linger on the palate and the vegan tikka chicken with garlic naan was garlic heaven. The friendly service was just the perfect cherry on top. 10/10 would recommend.

Edit: The wait for the food was ridiculously long and I stand by what I said below. I updated to three stars as the food was actually delicious and I appreciate the fact that the owner/manager would like to refund the meal. Not taking them up on the refund as times are hard for everyone given the current conditions in the country. Just please let your clients know in future if there are unexpected delays. Getting hangry is real thing.

Original review: Waited for over an hour and a half for our order through Uber eats and the restaurant blamed it on a power cut. If you are not setup to operate efficiently during load shedding then you have no right taking orders. After phoning in 8 times to find out what was happening with our order, they eventually decided to take the call. At the very least they should let customers know what's happening.

Not happy, not impressed and will not be ordering from them again... Eventually ended up going to Steers just to get something to eat

This Resturant is amazing! Their mock chicken will have you questioning every bite as you get the entire flavour of what you left behind as a vegetarian or Vegan. The service speed is rivals these major chain resturants, 10-15min and your satisfying your tummy with amazingly flavourful food.
When I began on this journey I was upset that their are no places which serve the same meals that i used to eat with a veg or mock meat alternative.

Prashad offers this and more. There service is next level. I always leave there with a smile.

5 stars! Give them a try. You will not be dissapointed.

I absolutely love Prashad's Cafe, this is the go to especially when you feel like having a decent curry.
My all time favourite is the Soy Butter Chicken Curry u0026 the Yellow Dahl, but you have to try it all, the menu is full of surprises ❤️????
