We were recommended to Cargill's by a friend and had the pre-theatre menu at 6pm. That gives you a choice of two courses from a short list of starters, mains and desserts. Service was prompt, thoughtful u0026 careful, and we made it to our concert with plenty of time in hand. The food was delicious and there is an excellent range of wine from the basic to the luxurious. The sorbet between courses was a very nice touch. Highly recommended - this is a compact but very worthwhile restaurant. Quite equal to the best we have ever eaten in in Cape Town.

This is the BEST restaurant in Cape Town. It's small, rather intimate, and the owner Josh prepares all the food meticulously. All his ingredients are fresh and obtained from the best sources. Hope he stays around for long!

We only recently discovered this gem. And have been back twice within a week! Food was excellent, the table service personal and pleasant and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

More than just a Restaurant, an entertaining and pleasant experience.

I booked a table for two for dinner at Cargill's 9th September at 7pm for my birthday.
On the day of the 9th at 5.30pm I received a call for the owner to say that they had a gas leak he was cancelling all reservations.
A further booking was made for the 16th September 7pm. On the day at 5.30pm I received another phone call to say that they have trouble with their fibre optics and my reservation has to be cancelled.
Is their anyone out there who had dinner at Cargills on 9th or 16th September!!!

Josh's food is unbelievably delicious, and the ambience is perfect for an intimate meal. The wine selection is superb!

Absolutely delicious food and the chef is so friendly and welcoming!
