What a delightful experience, the food was absolutely delectable.

The atmosphere was relaxing with soothing music from a live pianist gently caressing our ears and bringing back long forgotten memories with wonderfully reworked forgotten masterpieces.

The decor is stylish yet tongue in cheek with the artworks bound to bring a smile to your face.

The staff are pleasant and professional with a way about them that makes you feel like you've known them for years with easy and comfortable conversation.

I had a wonderful evening and meal. Thank you Shakespeare's and staff for an evening out to remember celebrating my birthday with my family.

First time to Shakespeare's in Durbanville and I was pleasantly surprised.

We enjoyed high tea there for a bridal shower and I was impressed by how delicious and fresh the food was.

We were offered generous portions of different savoury finger foods, scones that came with homemade butter, jam and cream, and mini desserts which were mouth-watering.

The decor of Shakespeare's however was the highlight for me. It is elegant and cozy at the same time. It has a grand piano in one corner, a library and a fully stocked bar. There are chandeliers hanging on the high ceilings and richly coloured walls.
The servers are all dressed in black and white formal wear with French berets - a lovely touch. We were provided with very good service.

On a final note, the high tea option is very reasonably priced - at R120 per person, this is great value considering what you get. Drinks are sold separately.

Loved the decor and atmosphere. Service of all the staff we engaged with delightful. Food absolutely delicious down to the last bite. Fantastic quality and overall experience at very affordable prices. I can honestly not fault Shakespeare's on anything.

So happy I found this place. You can book online for a reservation but we came early and there was lots of seating for brunch on a Saturday morning. Located within a mall I wouldn’t have suspected we would find such a gem!

The service is great from the start. Really beautiful ambiance and seating from couches, booths to more formal dining tables. Beautiful tea options and great coffees are presented in dainty tea pots with all the fixings of milk and sugar.

The Punjabi eggs were a star and a great low carb option. It is served with a delicious well flavoured curry sauce, spinach and perfectly poached eggs to your taste.

The croque madam was a generous portion of toast, eggs and ham smothered in layers of cheese and toast. This was delicious!

Pro tip: save room for dessert! They have a few options on display and a beautiful chocolate cart. We were given complimentary ones when we paid.

First time at Shakespeare's, we booked online and when we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The host and waiter were welcoming and professional. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant deco was stunning and represents the name really well. The food was well presented, warm and tasteful. Will definitely recommend.

We had the high tea and it was such an awesome experience. Everything is done with grace and perfection. The food was really good and the service was excellent. The interior is so beautiful!
