Nice little restaurant in the city centre.
Friendly staff and reliably decent food. Also for people on a budget, as prices are ok.

Had a fabulous Tom yum soup in a tranquil setting. The soup was not short of chicken ????. Spicy and hot, just the way I like it ????. I recommend the outdoor seating especially if the weather is great. Will definitely be back!

I've had simply asia 3x in the Cape. This one, in terms of meals and how they should taste, is spot on! Friendly staff on the days I went.

Just to clarify... I ate at 3 Simply Asia restaurants a few times. This is the best

This little gem boasts a stylish and modern interior and an ambiance of fun.

Amazing service, friendly staff, out of this world amazing food beautifully presented and as always cooked to perfection.

Choosing a restaurant to eat at in the Cape Town CBD can be quite daunting. Sometimes making a decision can take so much time that before you know it it's curfew. We decided to venture around Heritage Square, and popped into the old kid on the block, Simply Asia.
If you haven't yet tried Sushi (or Asian food) this is where you'll acquire your learner wings into eating Asian food.
It's simple, tasty, unpretentious and constant. The sushi rice was firm and held together when dipped. Not heavy or stodgy.
There's a good ratio of rice and fillings. Guaranteed you won't get smotherings mayo here. The wasabi and ginger are served on the platters but easy enough for you to scoop your own serving.
If you haven't yet got the hang of chopsticks this is definitely the place for you. No side stares here.... There's cutlery on the table!

We tried the:
Salmon Fashion Boost, salmon and avo fashioned into a sandwich.
Hot Tempura Prawn Roll, an old favorite.
Hot Rock and Roll, the teriyaki and seven spices takes this to another level.
Inari Spicy Prawn, rice and salmon filled in soya bean curd.
Lemon Stir Fry Rice with Prawn, a new dish on the menu with very distinctive tastes of lemon and soy. Definitely a must try if like us you've eaten your way through the menu and looking for new taste sensations.
Spinach Dumpling, not a dumpling at all; more like a spinach toast. The highlight and unexpected delight of our meal. These dumplings were a surprise... Fried but not oily. Light and crispy on the outside. Soft on the inside. Oh so comforting.

Simply Asia doesn't require the heels you'd normally don when traipsing Heritage Square. It's like coming home to mummy.

Who knew that Simply Asia Heritage Square has such great sushi! Not only is their sushi fresh and DELICIOUS, but they are currently doing a half price sushi special for sit down customers. It's a good lunch spot if you're in or around town -- and super affordable too!
