We had such a great experience! I had the crayfish madras, and it was the best, most flavourful curry I've had in a long time. My husband had the butter chicken curry, and I had a taste - deeply aromatic. Yummmm! We'll definitely come back. And kudos to our friendly waiter as well - we felt very well cared for.

Went there yesterday specifically to get the puri patha. Was glad I did, it was delicious. That being said, I did struggle between a 3/4 star rating here. While the patha was good, I found the puri a little too crisp. Also R52 for one (about 10cm in size) was a bit pricey.

Then the prawn chilli bites were inedible. To be fair, I did go during loadshedding, but perhaps they should rather say they can’t make something. As per the pictures, it was R98 for this. It had 4 very small pieces of prawn stuck inside. The dough inside was completely raw, and bottom was burnt. Obviously not deep fried. Total loss of nearly R100 as we couldn’t eat it at all.

Then also ordered the trio of rotis. Portion size good, and tasty (although rotis a bit soggy). Beans roti well worth the price.

But why I went to 4, is that the staff there are great. They were friendly u0026 I enjoyed the chat while I waited.

Absolutely loved coming to Sundoo one Friday evening. The staff were warm and attentive and the atmosphere is lively. The food was amazing, we really enjoyed the Bunnies as well as the Nepalese style dumplings. Food tastes fresh and explosive with flavors. We'll definitely be back!

It's been a while since I have come across a restaurant that reminds me of my Nani's Cooking. More to my surprise at finding it in Cape Town!
Briyani was amazing! The portion sizes are for 2 people and the lime pickle was to die for.

Had the vermicelli for dessert. A bit unconventional to serve it with Sprinkles and ice cream but it was tasty.

All in all a good 5 star rating! And the waiters are very welcoming. Definitely will plan another visit soon ????

The food was of a high quality. It was a Friday night and they were very busy so the time it took for the meal to arrive was rather long, but the minute that lamb curry hit my lips, all was forgiven and forgotten! Excellent work guys

This is a very lovely place in Sea Point. It is close to the road so the outside will be very busy. The food was a delight and the service was great. The lady kept checking that we were okay, she served with a smile and made small talk occasionally. I would say that it is child friendly. It was a wonderful experience. If you are looking for delicate and delicious Southern Indian cuisine then I would definitely recommend Sundoo.
