The place is located around a variety of restaurants, bars and other shops. Easy to catch the local transport to CT. The reception staff was always helpful. The only problem was the cleaning staff, they barely cleaned our room, when they did they swept only where one could see. Our balcony was never cleaned in our 6 day stay.

Very convenient spot if you want to be on easy public transport routes. Clean , very basic large rooms with private bathroom Free off road parking. Loads of very good restaurants within 50 meters. Very good value for budget travel Free wifi.

perfect location, rooms are nice , clean and basic. You have access to restaurants, supermarkets, clothing and etc. 5 min walk to the queens beach . rooms are cleaned daily.my city bus ( which will take you mostly to every attraction) route steps away from reception.. I will recommend they add to their self catering utensils. I visited cape town for a week and was tired of take aways, adding a stove, pots etc will give one a sense of home away from home..

Absolutely disgusted at the lack of customer service from The Regency (Amalfi Atlantic Hotel).
I made a booking, they initiated a payment the 30 September, it cleared the 2 October. I then called to enquire about my refund, tried the landline, via Booking. Com app, aswell with no luck. Only received communication this week. Eventually got a call from management who then couldn't be bothered as he had to tend to another call. Was told payment doesn't reflect etc. Was asked to provide banking statement (which I did). Informed Booking. Com customer service sent the bank statement again. Received feedback that the merchant name is not the same instead of The Regency it says Amalfi Atlantic Hotel (this too after I mentioned that they need to follow up with the property) booking. Com also had no luck getting in contact with them. Was told to call my bank, who then confirmed that the funds were taken from my account. I submitted references etc to the property and customer service.
To date no resolution.
I would like my refund and I would definitely advise that they have a look at there booking policies as it clearly states that a full refund will be made if the booking is canceled in a certain period(which I did)

False advertising: Had to change rooms as it had cockroaches, only to find the other room with an un-flushed toilet and the room in a dirty state.
Manager doesn’t seem to take heed of clients’ complaints; said cockroaches are unavoidable.

Decent and complete rooms. Every day fresh towels and made up beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
