Beautiful location, lovely house design and the views are incredible. If you're looking for a place to experience Cape Towns mountain views, this is a big winner. The towels were in weird places, some light bulbs were missing above the kitchen table making it too dark there to see comfortably, the oven makes an annoying noise and the one grater still had ginger on it from the previous guests. (Owner responded and cleared up the the few things I had mentioned and so I'm sure future guests will have a perfect stay here, and thanks for clearing things up, glad to see an owner that's on top of things)

Spectacular residence on the edge of table mountain national park. More beautiful than its images online. Mountain trails accessed from the property. Housekeeper Janet took great care of us. Total escape within the city of Cape Town.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Table Mountain villa.

The property:
Beautiful, spacious, clean and the wow factor for sure. The beds are extremely comfy and rooms have plenty storage and plug sockets. The upstairs is such a nice chill space with beautiful views of the mountain. During load shedding the lights, security and internet still worked which made our stay more enjoyable.

The area:
The property has excellent security meaning we felt safe at all times. The area itself is quiet and in a neighbourhood where we felt comfortable. There’s plenty of Uber eats options and lots of restaurants a short drive/ Uber away. The only issue is that you’re spoilt for choice!
We used the nearby hiking trail to walk up Table Mountain and visit the botanical gardens. Pick a nice clear day that isn’t too warm to get great views and not sweat too much. We chose skeleton gorge which was a challenge and meant we had to cross the mountain at the top to the cable car (approx 5 hours from base to cable car).

The team:
Jonathan, Anna and team are wonderfully hospitable. The property has a thorough manual with lots of local recommendations and instructions for the property which are easy to follow. The property has a thorough weekly clean and Jonathan was kind enough to visit the property and walk us through the check in. Great communication from booking through to the duration of the stay.

Highly recommend the property. Excellent value booking through African Spaces.

We stayed at the Table Mountain Villa recently and it was the best holiday home we've every stayed in. It's an architectural masterpiece with so many of Jonathan's personal touch, stories and passion rendered in this design that is heavily steeped in Japanese and Bali-ese inspirations. Jonathan is prompt in his communication and he tries hard to help you with ideas about what to do in Capetown. The house is located in a very quite neighbourhood near Kirstenbosch botanical gardens and you are directly hike to the table mountain from his backdoor! The hike through skeleton gorge was beautiful and a nice off the beaten path option to access Table mountain national park. The sitting room and kitchen on the top floor is really so beautiful and surrounded by trees that it feels like you are living on a forest canopy. We just stayed 3 nights but I wished we stayed at least 7 nights. Will definitely come back!

We hat a wonderful 3 weeks stay at the Table Mountain Villa. The views on Cape Town and the whole peninsula are, on a clear day, just spectacular. The backdoor in the garten gives you direct access to the Kirstenbosch Garden where we walked almost every day. Janet, the housekeeper, is a fantastic person, very reliable and trustful. We had a fantastic stay and clearly will come back.

My family stayed here for a while and we absolutely loved this place. It provided us exactly what we wanted - nature, quiet, spectacular views, privacy and space. It is a very tasteful home and completely comfortable and luxurious at the same time. Any Cape Town trip we would go back for sure. The host is attentive and also gives you privacy. Highly recommend. 10/10.

The most spectacular place to stay. I cannot wait to go back! From a design point of view, this house is spectacular. It's as if you are living in the trees against the mountain. The main bedroom is spacious, leading on to a beautiful terrace, garden, and your private 14m lap swimming pool. The upstairs area has a wonderful view of the mountain and the harbour. The layout of the property is functional and spectacular. And Jonathan is the best host! Thank you for a wonderful experience, we cannot wait to go back!
