Bad experience! Total flop! We stayed there in February 2022. The apartment was situated next to the aircon ducts of the hotel across the street and it made a constant unbearable noise. For this reason we had to keep the windows closed to try and get some sleep. There were no aircon and it was extremely hot. They provided a fan that also made a terrible noise when in use. I decided to use my own King size Egyptian sheet which they stole in the end. Also the matress was old and not comfortable. I had to take pain tablets for the back pain I experienced after a while on the bed. When I reported our problems to them, they promised a better apartment for free - it NEVER happened! No integrity?

Splendid experience at The Verge. I can go back over and again, anytime. What you see on pictures is what you get. Their services are also great. Highly recommend this place for anyone in Cape Town, especially if travelling as a small family

Very clean and modern apartment block with affordable rates.

Lots of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and other daily shops within walking distance which makes it very conveniently located.

They do have a reception for check in and you are made to pay a R1000.00 deposit upon check in. This is refunded after about 10days. It is not mentioned on booking.com or other platforms but it is a legitimate charge.

The only downside about this block is that they are no amenities ie no pool, gym etc.
The shower was not draining properly (probably clogged) but this is an easy issue to fix. Hopefully maintenance attends to it as we did bring it to receptions attention.

They should make some effort to install a generator for patrons with all the power cuts. I am a cardiac patient and had to climb 7 floors to my room. Also no lights in the rooms when no power

The convenience of the hotel is probably how well it's located close to most places you want to go to. Rooms are fairly decorated with just about enough equipment to get by when self catering. From the 6th floor, views of Lion's head, tip of table Mountain and if you stick your head out, you'll see some ocean.Beds are big and comfortable changed every 3rd day. Staff is super friendly

There's a supermarket across the road and the aircons went on 5am daily until late afternoon, this really disturbed the quality of sleep. The curtains as well don't close wall to wall so light came into the bedrooms and it was never dark enough for a good rest.
Quite honestly, the cleaning wasn't up to standard, the floors were sticky because I witnessed housekeeping wet a mop and used it once to mop the whole house. I also found crumbs of a previous night's supper on the table which means it was not wiped. There were cockroaches crawling around every one of the 12 nights spent here. Most towels had stains and weren't comfortable either. No aircons in the room, you have to rely on the fan and move it from room to room.
Housekeeping should ensure they check cupboards on departure as I spotted pills and wrappers in a top shelf in the bedroom. I also don't understand the hefty deposit when there's hardly anything to break in the rooms.
Since entry is on the other side of the building, if you don't come down High Level road, you will inconveniently have to wait in queue with McDonald's customers to pass through to get to the security gate.
The stay was ok and safe but I would not visit a second time.

Very, very hot, noisy and no aircon. Window in bedroom doesn't open. Very unpleasant. Also, wouldn't replace our broken fan and said there were no towels for my daughter. Had to ask for toilet paper which was never replaced. I can't believe the 4+rating having stayed there.
