Place is situated in a fairly decent location, quiet and warm ambiance. Food was done to perfection, could not fault any of the dishes that were served. Starters, main course and dessert was brilliant. Waiters do need a little extra training, but overall service was good.

Canvas Grill is an amazing fine dining experience. The atmosphere is romantic, beautiful, serene. I haven't eaten here for quite some time as I wasn't too happy in 2017 with a few things but the chef has more than redeemed himself and now I can't get enough of it.

The food was absolutely delicious. I'm vegetarian and the vegetarian pastas I have tried from other restaurants are bland and drenched in oil, but their pasta was packed with flavour and was not oily. Most restaurants do not cater for me and make horrible vegetarian food, but their vegetarian pasta is the best pasta I have ever had. My fiancee also said his T bone steak was better than spurs steak. I would be definitely going back! I highly recommend it, the food took about 45 minutes to get to us, but good food is costly and takes time. The baked mushroom was so good it almost tasted like a steak. I'm very much impressed. The dessert I'm not a fan of. I tried the Mona Lisa and the creme brulee it's average. But overall the food is absolutely divine.

The restaurant is halal. The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered the Rafael, the steak was tender and just so good. The presentation was stunning! I do however feel that there is room for improvement with the look of the restaurant. The back of the restaurant looked sloppy and can do with a bit of a change. Overall I was very happy. Probably the best steak I had to date.

I had my Birthday Lunch, with my family. The meal was fantastic and well prepared. The complete treatment was just perfect. Because my family phoned and placed the orders with their names. Too Good, the portion of meal was perfect filling and very tasty.

The presentation of the food is doubled up by the really good taste. The steak was done as requested and the dessert was pretty good too. When in Umhlanga, its worth a visit.

Really lovely restaurant! Excellent food, every single dish was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. Service was friendly, helpful, and fun. Prices are very affordable and meals are all large and filling. Birthday package is affordable and very impressive and well worth it! Thank you Canvas Grill, will definitely be visiting soon.
