Poor service is an understatement. The place in now under new management whom have no clue what they’re doing. If you want to enjoy your stay in Durban , please look elsewhere. Thank me later

Have been here since 2004, had been in rooms
24, 5 and now a whole new move to Calendar
House, first moved in but a poor room, with
No view, bad neighbor, but now in room 19a
With sea views, suburbia the OTHERSIDE
Facing over the narrow road, Calendar road,
With own bathroom, shower and toilet, large
Bed, more window areas that give you a sense
Of connecting to the outside world, but in
windy conditions, it can be very noisy and
Scary, especially at night but overall a very
Nice atmosphere but way different to my
First rooms and good food all meals, very
Nice people and a very dedicated team of
Staff, both black and white and the owners
Of this place are incredible great people to
Be your best in the name of caring, helpful
And nice to chat with at times, while Charmaine
In the kitchen and dining room areas is a no
Nonsense, house mother type of person, who
In these times of covid 19, applying all safety
Protocols to keep safe!

Finally we all have to wear masks, sanitize regularly and sign out, and return temperature
Check before sanitize of hands, to be let in!

Overall a great place called home!

Excellent! Everything in the self catering rooms: DSTV, WiFi uncapped, plug to charge 2 phones with USB cables only, nice thick towels, air scents, etc. Friendly staff. Safe parking. Pleasant stay. Good security but outside area beware of pick-pockets.

This is a place where you can stay and feel at home. The staff and management, Tim, Rose and Annemarie make you feel at home. I decided on a spur of moment to visit, we phoned and they prepared a room to accomodate us in peak season on 27 December. Its safe, close to everything and Florida road with all the nightlife and restaurants.

Fernleigh Lodge was perfect for my temporary accommodation needs. Meals were included in the extremely affordable price. The staff went the extra mile to accomodate my special dietry requirements. Safe and friendly environment.
