Durban Beach Front Promenade

The Durban Beach Front Promenade is one of my best places to go to in Durban. It is well developed. It is a suitable place for a family trip with Ushaka Marine World being close by and plus you can take a swim in the beach while you're there. The Promenade itself is very clean with the fresh breeze of the Indian Ocean. I highly recommend this place for one or one's family who wishes to escape the daily stresses of life. This place will serve you with some tranquility, it has a balmy feel which makes the whole experience worthwhile. So, take your sandals, grab your family or pet and take a walk on this amazing tourist attraction ☀️????!

Simply wonderful to walk/ run so close to beach. Lots of activity people walking running skate boarding on the wide prominade. You can do 10km or more run comfortably. Police patrol regularly. Restaurants and cafes along the beach. There are also piers if you want to feel the ocean closer. Must do when in durban!

Great place to walk your dogs (on leash). Weekdays are better as weekends can be busy.

Our beautiful city just shines. The views are breath taking. It would be great if there were a flea market on the promenade or little shops to attract tourists. Would be a great way to add to the economy.

After 2 years of living in Durban, I was amazed to find how beautifully clean the promenade is alongside the Sun Coast Casino!! ????????????
There are at least 6 family restaurants as well as a food court accommodating several fast food outlets. There are manicured grassed areas on which children can play while under the eyes of their parents/minders!
In addition, there are cinemas where students and pensioners are able to enjoy half-price movies on Tuesday's, leaving the more affluent to pay full price at all other showings!
While this was my first visit, it will, God willing, not be my last!! ????????

Very dog friendly, lots of the restaurants have bowls of water. Surf Riders have a dog menu as well
Lots of activities happen there, yoga classes, fun runs, people ride bikes and Rollerblade etc

Busy people all around
Children enjoying their holiday
Swimming riding bikes
Really enjoying the summer outdoors
Restaurants all busy
Sea was very choppy today
Didn't stop people playing and swim in the waves
Or sunbathe in the sun
Walked three 3 km today
Beautiful scenery
Really enjoyed the day
