Lovely modern, clean movie venue. Getting snacks is automated, quick and painless. There's a food hall right there if you want something more substantial to eat. The big screen is a great experience for a great movie (Top Gun Maverick of course, best way to see it)

I really like this IMAX theater. The picture and sound quality is exceptional. The seats are also very comfortable but what I dislike is the fact that you have to look up too kuch if you are anywhere further forward than the 5th row.from the back. It puts strain on your neck. Why don't they just tilt the seats backwards the further the seat is to the front?

Booked ticket online, the email said I need to present the email to the person at the door. Did so only to find out if need to print it at the self help center. Also, 3D glasses must be ordered when going to watch a movie in 3D - 3D glasses being under "Food u0026 Drink" on the self help screen. It really was an unorganised setup.

Imax is the best. Eastgate cinema is great, even on the release night of big movies like The Avengers, the lines go quick and easy for tickets/popcorn. Too bad that it gets a bit crowded when the cleaning runs overtime

One of the few IMAX theatre close by for Johannesburg residents. While it's better than the normal cinemas, it just doesn't compare in screen size to the old analogue IMAX theatres.

No aircon on during the movie, felt like i was in a sauna with 150 other people. Made the whole movie experience miserable.

Imax never disappoints. Great sound. Covid precautions are well taken.
