Made my day - an awesome ice cream parlour with divine flavours. My recent visit with family to Gelato in Hermanus really enjoyable. Will definitely visit again.

Enjoyed my toblerone gelato. It was lovely taking a walk on the beach and coming here for a treat afterwards. There's a large variety of flavours. They serve coffee and drinks too. My kids enjoyed their Oreo flavour.

Completely over priced for what you get.

We paid R151 for 4 scoops of ice cream. The flavours were Unicorn (bubble gum) and Oreo in the one cup and Lindt Mint and Snickers in the other. I have no problem paying higher than usual prices but then you would expect to get what you pay for. The ice cream was virtually flavourless and in my opinion, Sinful and Kristen's Kickass Ice Cream are way better.

Gelato Mania will in all likelihood not being seeing us soon again.

Infuriating. We sought gelato on a dreary winter day for our 3 year old daughter who wanted two flavours: blue (unicorn) and yellow (vanilla). Kafka-esqsue tragedy followed. "Two flavours can only be served in a big cup." But her hands can only hold the small cup. Can we get two scoops in a small cup? "I'm sorry you can only get one flavour in the small cup." Can we get a half scoop of each in the small cup? "You need to buy a big cup." So we can only have one flavour? "Yes.". Ended up buying two single scoops in two small cups only to combine half of each which she could eat (she's 3). For a place that's meant to serve happiness, they dish out only misery. Reason given at the till when I expressed extreme frustration: "That's the owner's rule". Seems like a good summary for the story of South Africa. I have half a mind to invest in the place so as to decide whether to change the rule or shut the place down. One scoop does not fit all. Avoid out of principle.

Overpriced and the worst pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had. No tasting allowed despite the high price. Definitely better places to go in Hermanus for ice-cream that have a richer flavour and more affordable such as YOU SCREAM ice cream.

Very nice ice cream! We received good service and was helped quick. We chose the ice cream cups and enjoyed it on our drive to back to cape town!
