The service was REALLY slow ???? our food took almost an hour to arrive. I ordered a chicken croissant with a side of chips and a platter for one with chicken wings, a side of really delicious veggies and chips. It’s quite reasonably priced.

The place has a gorgeous interior that’s very colourful, comfy and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is really friendly and helpful too.

I enjoyed my frozen margarita, everything about it was perfect. My experience would have been 5 stars but I waited waaaaay too long for my food.

what a beautiful place, it felt familiar and homey. the staff is friendly and make you feel like a friend. i look forward to having more amazing memories and experiencing the jazz lounge thoroughly.

It's such a marvelous matured with old fashion beauty of arrangements loving lunch to enjoy yourself with lots of continental and real local dishes. Very amazing place to cool down everyday or especially weekend with good music. Lovely guys...????

Bertrand Cafe really caught me off-guard. It's the place, vibe and environment that I've been looking for in Johannesburg for a very long time. Homely, warm, welcoming and refreshing.

Bertrand's place is divided in three section. An outdoor section by the street with a great view of the busy Maboneng. When you step in your are welcomed by what feels like your grandmother's house but with a twist, urban music, rumba, African jazz and amazing decor. Keep on walking and you'll find yourself in a completely different setting with a bar in a closed section of the restaurant.

The decor will keep you looking around while you enjoy their food. The food is authentic and very rich.

Really worth a visit. A hidden gem.

The Jazz Lounge is beautiful and cozy, Cafe outside might be a bit busy for someone's liking but they do have an inside seating which is beautiful. Classic and Elegant

Great deco and ambiance. Decent wine selection. Live music upstairs is a pleasant surprise.

Food menu and cocktail options are somewhat limited. But the seafood platter was delicious!

This place is keeping the culture of Maboneng alive! The jazz music is what I come for. There’s beautiful art inside and lovely seating outside. Love it!
