As authentic as it can get! The location of this little gem is in the heart of Maboneng so that's great. Various meal options that come with the menu including vegetarian. The service is good, the ladies are warm and very friendly, and they don't mind a small chat. I enjoyed my coffee a great deal, even had a bag of freshly ground coffee to take home with me. I can't wait to visit again the next time I'm in the neighborhood!

This Ethiopian Cafe is literally a hole in the wall, but the rich tastes you will find here is beyond reproach. Your choice is vegetarian or not vegetarian. It's not fancy. It's just simple, tasty food. You won't get better flavour if that's what you are after.
The Ethiopian coffee is pretty good, although I have had better at another restaurant.

Simple menu: vegetarian or not vegetarian. Wonderful flavor with a great mix of tastes. Then coffee or tea after the meal with a fun side of popcorn. The warm hospitality and kindness from the host / owner? makes you feel that he really appreciates your business.

If you like authentic Ethiopian food, this is the place to go! The food is incredibly tasty, the prices are economical, and the restaurant staff is very friendly. The owner of the restaurant even offered me a free meal if I came back the next day after seeing how much I enjoyed dining experience at the care. Who does that? Exactly. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some amazing Ethiopian food; you won't regret it.

This was my first restaurant meal in South Africa and it was perfect! I ate from both from the meat+veggie plate as well as the veggie plate. Both were delicious and the service was friendly and warm. We finished our meal off with some wonderful coffee and crunchy popcorn. Looking forward to going back!
