AFRICA Foodies delight. An exploration of South African Eastern Cape village foodies memory lane. A foodies delight , amazing flavors - with a twist. Foodies Nostalgia immortalized. A place your senses will remind you to visit. Even a ten year old said “ it’s a threat restaurant “ in a humble space. Support the gifted and talented, for you be young , gifted and free without opportunity is a devils gift. This chef is talented and deserves a restaurant with food that can globally travel. Amazingly creative, it’s art, science meets village wisdom.

His name : Chef Kobo.

Delicious, authentic South African cuisine! We were grabbing a drink around the corner at Curiosity Backpacker and stumbled on this restaurant. The menu is a mix of a typical dish and authentic South African cuisine. My advice - order something authentic! The food is incredible and and unique and the chef is more than happy to walk you through the items on the menu, answer questions, and make recommendations.

Brilliant food. Chef really puts his heart ♥ into his dishes. He loves what he does, and it's evident in the food.

Kobo cuisine haven’t just made the best food my wife and I have had in a while. They deliver a artistry. They tell stories using their food. They recreated their renditions of a lot of the food we ate growing up. Chef Siya’s passion flows through his food. It’s not just eating out. It’s an experience.

Chef Siya Kobo brings excitement back to the dining out experience. Not many restaurants offer an adventure served on your plate the way Kobo Cuisine does today. African progressive cuisine deserves a seat at the table and you will not trully understand why until you have tasted it.

My mother and I popped in a couple times. Kobo is a foodies kind of chef. He is passionate about cooking and has great attention to detail. Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner (only smelt the dinner service) the authentic meals are an absolute treat! I'm dead serious when I say that the best food in Maboneng by far is at Kobo Cuisine. Better than Che' and without any of their attitude and at half the price. One to support and embrace!

Truly outstanding meal from an award winning chef at reasonable prices. Best meal I've had on my three week trip hands down
