I absolutely love Motherland. The vibe is as amazing as the coffee. My standard order is a tall hazelnut flavoured soy milk latte and it always tastes like heaven. They also have an amazingly decadent brownie with white and milk chocolate pieces which is a definite must-have. The service is world class and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful.

I'm a big fan of good lattes and motherland, is probably one of the best places for it. I live in Dubai and frequently travel to Joburg and whenever I visit, love going to motherland for breakfast for a cuppa Latte and mini quiches which are very good too. Staff is always friendly and happy!

Good coffee. Good service. This is a small location but has atmosphere. Free WiFi is available. There is couch seating, table seating as well as a long table with bar chairs. There is some outdoor seating too. Just 5 minutes walk from the Rosebank Gautrain station.

So this place was listed as one of the authentic coffee places to visit and I wanted to give it a shot. I tried the Ethiopian origin cappucino and loved the flavor. Of course the accompaniments was just as good!!!

The best avo, feta, hummus, egg, sprouts on toast breakfast, good coffee, all for about R100 with tip - big enough to take half home for lunch! Recommend

the coffee shops furnishing is very comfortable, staff is friendly. The coffee was unfortunately way to hot and it influences the coffee bean taste immensely. It tasted a little "burned". Either the beans were roasted a little too intense or the milk was just burned.
