I was absolutely disappointed in the sushi. I went there because I saw good reviews about it. Regretted instantly. The Nigiri looked like they ran out of Salmon so they improvised. The hand roll was small compared to what I’m used to. Portions themselves were quite small. I love salmon roses so much but what I had there, I’m not sure what that was! The rice seemed over cooked.

The dim sum tasted exactly the same for all 4 pieces yet they are supposed to be different flavours.

Ai… overall experience, I was very disappointed.

Oh Wow! Sums up our experience at Simply Asia Eastgate last night. We decided to try out their sushi special which was absolutely incredible.

The sushi was some of the tastiest sushi we have ever had, fresh and delicious - their menu offers a wonderful selection. Service was good, staff friendly and efficient.

There was obviously a slight wait due to the sushi special demand and preparation - but overall an excellent experience and great value on their special. This huge platter, with 2 coldrinks and the bill wasn’t even R300!

Very dry noodles. Each and every time I ask for extra sauce I never get it which I pay for. Literally the only Simply Asia that does not give extra sauce when asked. To add to that, their food isn't as tasty as the other branches.

The waitress forgot to take our drink orders and our food arrived cold. They were quite stingy with their protein portions. We didn't even finish our food due to the fact it was not enjoyable.

Really helpful waiter and waitress. Had a busy toddler who was being a bit naughty. They wanted to assist so that I could enjoy my meal. Really thoughtful! Half price sushi was good. 5 stars for service
