I stayed here for one night for my honeymoon (as we had a connection this next morning to head to Botswana). My wife and I had plans to head into the main city area for the brief night we had, but on our way out the door we saw the piano bar located within the property and decided to just try that out for dinner given convenience and the menu looked great. We did not regret this decision, the food was AMAZING and the entire hotel staff were the best. The ostrich was incredible and the service was unmatched, everyone is so kind and I couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re passing through Johannesburg or staying for a while. The boutique feel and attention to detail was very welcoming!

We visited the restaurant for my mothers birthday. The food, service, décor and atmosphere were superb. I was very impressed and will go again.

Thanks to everyone at the residence for such an excellent hotel experience! The grounds, common areas, and rooms were absolutely gorgeous, luxurious, and immaculately kept. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, including organizing a great and informative tour of Joburg and especially Soweto just for us. The restaurant was really, really phenomenal - the food, wine, and service all made a huge impression on us! All in all, our stay with the great folks at the residence was far too short - I can't wait to go back!

Food excellent,compliments to the chef. A few attention to detail points,fantastic waiters but they need to keep checking on patrons at some times we had to look for staff. The bed was divine ,loved the jacuzzi and outside area of the Penthouse. Striped towels for jacuzzi not replaced. Loved the turn down toffees and coffee provided. A very relaxed secluded stay for our anniversary ,thank-you. I hope our comments assist you in your business going forward ????warm regards ,the Williams.

Lovely stately getaway in the middle of Houghton.. friendly staff and good food.. amenities in the suite are a bit disappointing and suite itself was a bit “dark” in the interior design choices but otherwise peaceful. Spa is awesome ????
