Great views, great food, service and atmsphere. We were there as a group for high tea for a birthday and we enjoyed a lot. Our waiter William was amazing. Loved every moment

We went today to enjoy the highly recommended high tea at 131 On Herbert Baker. We had booked it 2 days before, but when we arrived, the staff looked very surprised. They checked the computer and our booking was there, but they had not prepared for us. The person who registered the booking failed to communicate it to the rest of the staff. They couldn't serve us since some of the food items would take too long to get ready without prior preparation. They apologised, but didnt invite us to come again the next day or next week, or offer us anything else in place of the high tea. We left extremely disappointed. We had made many arrangements to be able to come without our kids and I have to return soon to my home overseas. It was supposed to be a special celebration with my mom and sister. I am sure anyone can make a mistake, but then you need to at least compensate your guests or offer them something else. This is really not acceptable for an establishment of such prestige and high pricing.

I booked and paid for this venue a month ago for an event I;m hosting on 1 September 2018. They sold me a dream and I found out by chance as I went to the venue to finalize layout etc that they will not be able to provide the service they promised. I requested a refund a week ago so I can use the money to pay for another venue.
1. They have not responded to my emails,
2. They manager as not reached out to me, he hides behind his staff
3. Needless to say they have not refunded me
I am starting a business and I can't afford to be treated like this. I've already lost lots of money by printing and distributing invitations and other pamphlets with their address on it and they just want to ensure I lose out on more. They are bullying me because they are big and I'm a small fish (black woman trying start my own business) and they think they can't be stopped. They are rude bullies with zero morals, they have no understanding of what treating customers with respect and dignity means mainly because I'm black. If this had happened to a white person, their refund would have be done with no hassles last week already. They are liars. They must be taught that abuse of power is unacceptable.

Great location. Beautiful rooms. The service and food though, not up to standard. Needs some strong improvements. Unfortunately will not be returning there again.

Service was poor and the food was definitely not worth the price. Totally over priced! We were the only table there and waited almost 40 minutes for our food. Will not return. Hotel is beautiful though

Exquisite Boutique Hotel with a full view of Pretoria. The service is excellent and a great place from Breakfast to Dinner. Great ambience and an awesome Germ.
