-The service, Outstanding.
-Prices is fair.

We ordered a Full Bar-One waffle, Told them we wamted to share, when we received it, It was already split for us with Ice-Cream on both and made so pretty.

They got the extra mile, Amd that just makes me want to driver all the way there from JNB.

The food here is never disappointing.

But the waitress I got????u200d♀️???????? the first time I meet an unkind and 'doesn't care' waiter in a restaurant, not just spur.

I mean, how do you present your menu and specials without even 'at least' pretend to smile???

Food might have been prepared with love but wasn't presented with the same love, so the food tasted half loved???? If I may put it that way.

I have spoken about this specific Spur a couple of times, and again it never disappoints. Great food, very friendly service, Thabiso, our waiter, was a legend. Fellow staff never let out table get over full and helped their fellow waiters out. If your in Menlyn, this is the place to be.

The play area for the kids is actually quite good and convenient but the steak is extremely bad. I cannot remember when last I had such a bad steak at any place even at a wimpie.
I ordered a medium rare 500g extra matured, lazy aged prime cut of rump. I can testify it was more like a pink-grey tough thin beef schnitzel; definitely not prime cut and definitely not well matured. It looks exactly what you buy at checkers as prego steak. With such a thin piece of meat it is also very difficult to prepare it medium rare or juicy. I did not want to make an issue and spoil the atmosphere with my friend but I will not go to spur again for a good steak. I ate half and gave the other half to my dog at home. Chips were also small and little. My R150/kg checkers steak that I throw in a pan at home is way better than the R250/500g prime matured rump (incl the tip) that I got from spur.
