We were in desperate need of a restaurant for dinner after our lodges restaurant turned out to be underwhelming. Stopped at The Bass Lake to enquire and from the answer of the intercom we were greeted with outstanding, friendly service. The manager greeted us at the entrance with a menu, a smile and a "no problem at all" attitude and we booked for the evening. Again when arriving for dinner, we were greeted at the entrance and taken to our table. Such a simple gesture of service set the beautiful tone for our evening. The food was the cherry on top. Fine dining, with the price fair. We had Butternut soup and mussel for starters, and pork belly and Lamb shank for mains. It was exquisite!! Even our 2 year old ate everything without complaint (from our plates of course). The restaurant was cozy, with a fire place and jazz music playing. Lovely evening and highly recommended. We were not booked at the lodge but will definitely put on our list to visit again in the future.

Bass Lake is absolutely stunning, peaceful and just the place to rest. All areas are very well kept, clean and neat.

Caravan stands are grassed, spacious and all have shaded trees.

Ablutions are the best in business I have seen in along time.

The Bar overlooks the dam where you can have nice sundowner and enjoy many bliss sunsets.

Staff are very friendly and professional.
Definitely a must visit.

It's our first time Camping here and it was an absolute pleasure to have Camped here.

From when you entered the gates, to setting up.
Everyone was friendly and helpfull.

I got there alone, and two workers of the resort came to help me setting up my tent for my Caravan, without even asking them to help.

The resort is always clean and tidy the 2 and half days we were there.
The ablutions was always clean, always hot water, absolutely not one bad thing to say about Bass Lake Resort.

The animals walking through the camp site at day, make it a treat to look out what you can see.
There is Fishing, Bird lookouts, Trampolines, Swimming Pools, Pool Tables and more.

I would definitely be interested in Camping there again in the foreseeable future.

Possibly one of the nicest places we have camped at. Stands are big and grassed. Well maintained and the most lovely ablutions that I have come across. There are Zebra and buck roaming freely. Had a great time!

Wonderful campsite with top class facilities. Quiet venue with lovely stands. Well worth a visit if you are looking for a camping spot not to far from the city

From the reception to the fishing, the experience was fantastic. The top dam water is clear and it's easy to spot and catch bass. In the bottom dam, we mostly caught kurpers and only 2 bass. In total we caught plenty. Will definitely recommend the lodge to anyone interested. P.s. have some worms just in case.

Excellent service. Wonderful food. Loved the 11:00 cake and coffee. Great fishing. Camping sight's are the best and cleanest I have seen.
