Tatso Buffet - Time Square

In my experience buffet restaurants in SA are generally a bit of a disappointment and for this reason we avoided Tatso. We did end up there for breakfast on new year's morning and this time we were pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant is big and nicely decorated and the chairs we had was very comfortable.
The staff were all very friendly but Elizabeth stood out constantly checking on us and offering everyone coffee.
The food, good selection for breakfast with most of the usual foods but options of waffles and some of the best chicken livers we've had for some time. Even the beef sausages were delicious with just the right amount of spice.
All in all a good experience with tasty food and friendly staff BUT it is expensive if you are not a hotel guest at a cost of R530 for 2 it's not an option if you are on a budget.

I can again report back about the Restaurant on a return visit the food was very tasty. The staff was very helpful. We were met by David who walked me through the complete line up.

I was also met by Patrick the banqueting manager, and Tumi.

They are quite unusual with their times . Just make sure they are open when you go, they also have a breakfast, lunch and dinner section with I think a 2 hour in between where they are closed.

The food I quite enjoyed, it is definitely above average. But on a bad day where it's not so busy, there might be very little selection of food to choose from.

The environment and decor was really nice and the staff were friendly

Do not even deserve 1star
Me and may wife was very discussed this morning. We where injoing are breakfast then I looked up the chef at the back where licking his hands at use the same hand to the spice and vegetables.
I told here I'm done we stand up and leave.
Very very disappointed. Will not recommended the place

Staff in restaurant did not knowre special fot Buffet lunch advertised on the website until 31July. Then trolley with mop in very dirty water left right by door inside ladies restroom, having to actually squeeze past mop to get to toilets?! How unprofessional?

Pathetic choice of food for the price you pay! Spend your money elsewhere as the service is also 1 star

Incredible food at just an affordable price. The set up is great for birthday parties and mini celebrations. Or lunch with friends and family.
