The decor inside is absolutely breathtaking, the menu however is very big and at times could be confusing if you are not a native Chinese customer, the other thing I picked up is the language barrier, it's a good thing to have a pure Chinese food experience but it's whole different thing when your waiter has difficulty understanding you at all. Nonetheless, the food is excellent and the seating is very comfortable, I would have added some sofas to the mix given thier top class decor but the seats are good enough, the ambiance is very relaxing.

This is the best Chinese food I ever had. I took off one star for the service. Not to hot. The chinese lady that took the order knew everything on the menus and was great, but unfortunately the various waitresses was not very pleasant or friendly. The food also came out in dribs and drabs that was uncomfortable. Some guests got their food away before the other guests at the table and some were finished before the other guests food even came out. Still, the food was amazing, but need to be patient.

Service was shocking! cannot comment on food as I never received any, waited over an hour for it, just to be told they would start cooking it now. So naturally I cancelled my order.

Had a father-daughter date night here. Enjoyed the Dim sum.

My dad tried the crispy beef - was amazing.

Pricey, but authentic Chinese food!

Rude chinese waitress kept rolling her eyes and was murmuring, initially took us to a table that had not been cleaned.

Another waitress brought our meal but didnt even know the name of the meal she brought had to go back ask.
Brought main meal before starters.
Service is zero
Tasty food and generous portion though.

I love that there is authentic Dim Sum near me, but the location is not the best. It's in a casino! We can constantly smell the smoke. Yuck. Okay, besides that this place is great. A little on the fancy and pricier side, but well worth it. Try the BBQ pork buns (baked and steamed), radish cakes, prawn dumplings, beef meatballs, sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves, Xiao Mai/Shumai, sesame balls with red bean, and egg tarts.

If you want even more authentic, check out Shun De in Joburg (32 Derrick Ave, Cyrildene-different owner!). It's a hole in the wall and much cheaper. And then go downstairs for Taiwanese bubble milk tea at Momos.
