Arrived at Pretoria station late at night which is never a good thing but this was mitigated by the FREE hotel shuttle that was already waiting. Service is friendly and efficient. Property is clean and presents beautifully. Breakfast was great. A property I would recommend.

A Very clean, and warm place with friendly professional staff. I spent my night in room 215. I checked in on 22/02/2022 and checked out on 23/02/2022.
The only deplorable thing was the late loud noise from 2 ill-mannered guests who spoke loudly in the corridor as if they were the only people in the hotel - just disgusting because they were loud untill the early hours, past 2am - unacceptable bahaviour - complete lack of concideration.
I wouldn't blame their poor attitude on the Hotel because, once you check in, you will see a 'DON'T DISTURB' sign well displayed right next to the entrance and your bed.

It was a pleasant stay. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was fast, and a plus was that the curtains were light blocking.

Visited the hotel 2021/08/27 and there were people who made a noise 2 doors down from the room I was in. They were 5 occupying a 2 sleeper room, drunk and disorderly. Security was called 2 times but when they left those people just kept on making a noise and worse they had had a portable speaker and played music very loudly till 5:00am the next morning.
Security did nothing about it!!!

The worst was that from the time of checking in till check out the was no hot water. I showered with cold water that evening and in the morning I called reception and they promised to send a maintanance guy to come up and check what was wrong, instead a lady that introduced herself as the housekeeping supervisor came opened the tap for close to 10 minutes but still the water was cold then she said it’s “Sunday the maintenance guys phone is off and she’s not sure if he will come in”
It was another cold shower for me again!!!!

The bed was made up only with 2 sheets and a blanket in between. Not a duvet or a at least a comforter. It was so irritating fixing and trying to keep everything on.

The network reception and their WiFi is terrible!!

On checking out I requested to speak to the manager and I was told that the manager was in a meeting and will be back after 12:00, I can wait which I decided against because I had other commitments for the day.
I got a call around 14:00 from reception saying the manager is not in still and sends their apology but will call me around 18:00, as if....

Till now I have not heard anything from the manager!
The manager doesn’t care at all

The receptionist was okay but failed to assist us with our needs. False advertising with regards to the apartment amenities. The amenities that were supposed to be free they were either not available or they charged us for; eg shuttle, mini bar and break fast. They kept calling us for no reason. Unnecessary knocks in the morning. There was loud music all night. They failed to deal with the noise. They deserve half a star. Would not recommend.

My stay at the Park Lodge Hotel Pretoria, was great because of the excellent service that I got from Petronella Marowa, the Executive Housekeeper .A standard that she maintained from the date of my arrival to the date of my departure.
