This place has gone through several major revamps and rebuilds. It started out as the Randburg Waterfront thirty odd years ago. They removed the lake and renamed in Brightwater Commons about fifteen years ago. Now, it's Ferndale on Republic, and thank goodness its been given a fresh start.

It's a great shopping mall, clean, safe and modern, with loads of fantastic stores. They've retained part of the old Randburg Waterfront (although it's a shadow of its former self) with a scattering of the original shops.

I still miss the old Waterfront, but at least with this update, they've given it a fresh breath of life.

I like this mall, there are eateries around as well and the restaurants inside. Each entrance has restaurants which makes it easier to know which entrance to go to. The pick n pay is huge on one side and checkers on the other side. There is a honesty book library which I am taking some of my books to borrow books to read as well it's amazing!

They also have nice spaces to take pictures as well.

Love this mall, there's lots of shops and they always have nice pop up events. The pick n pay is great for affordable grocery and meat shopping, then there's Crazy plastics for all things Cleaning, Storage and Party. There is a wide variety of stores for everything you need - love it and my toddler also enjoys going for dinner at the Spur there , with the play facilities.

Very good. Free parking. Not too many shops for budget shopping. Checkers is reasonably well stocked. Haven't used the PnP though. Food Lover's is really good. Good options for fast foods.

It's a medium sized shopping complex, not meant to be a big mall. This makes it good for basic, regular shopping needs — and it makes for an excellent shopping experience too! I like the layout of the shops vis-a-vis parking, which makes it easy to park a shot walk from the store you want. Not a bad place to have a meal too, with it's respectable variety of your usual chain restaurants. I've read some complaints somewhere about car guards being rude, I haven't experienced this at all yet.

Unfortunately this place despite being an open mall is not pet friendly on the outside (Parking area). Was asked very rudely by centre management to remove my dog off the property after walking the dogs there for years. We used to walk here every afternoon before and after this building was owned by the deplorable Moolman group! No care for animals. Just money! Will never support this place and will share my experience with all pet owners.
