I enjoyed my time here. Excellent service from staff and managers. A big and personal thank you to Ms Noluthando who was our table waitress for the night and the chef's exception for making my pre birthday amazing.

Beautiful facility with an amazing atmosphere. The live band was a wonderful touch to a warm afternoon in the garden. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the space. The only let down was the heritage braai was not really a braai however the food served was simply divine and the champagne kept flowing. Looking forward to visiting again

What a terrible time! After our spa appointment we wanted something sweet with a coffee... We ordered dessert, I ordered the chocolate and orange but was so disappointed when the wrong dessert came and did not match the description on the menu, our waiter said he knew nothing about tye menu and would call the chef in charge... the"chef"in charge told us..my dessert was wrongly sent out. When we enquired about my friends desert description on the menu, she just said"they wrote wrong", and showed us the picture she had in the kitchen ofhow the plate should look, we got a completely frozen mousse as a new dessert with a very stale macaron filled with lemon icing(full of lemon essence flavouring...
Then the bill.... Waited 40 minutes for the bill to come and the it was wrong!
Not acceptable for such an establishment!!! Not even the fantastic coffee could mke up f9r the bad service...

I went for dinner with my family on 28 Aug 2022, and as not happy with the service and the food. The restaurant was not busy at all but waiter was not attentive. As a result, the service was incredibly slow throughout our stay. The starters took 30 min to arrive. By the time we’d finished eating our starters, the waiter had not taken our order for mains. Our mains also took some time to arrive (with one wrong order). The food was generally average and the chops were burnt. Very disappointing!

One of the worst dinning experiences at Lacuna Bistro!!!

Firstly i had made a reservation and had to wait about 15 minutes for anyone to just offer to seat us or assist, poor front end house service. It was a relatively quiet night for the restaurant as there where about 4 tables with guests.
The menu vs what is offered in the restaurant does not correlate.
We could not have any of the signature drinks that where on the menu that we had to download in the restaurant, as the bar man could not make them.
Our waitress was polite, the food was terrible we had the masala prawn and burger and both meals where not done well and where just rancid!!

I would not recommend dinning at Lacuna as it is not worth your time or money!!

Came here with my husband when we tried to eat at the main Lacuna Bistro but we were refused because you had to make a reservation even though we are guests of the hotel. Was pretty annoyed at that so we were told to eat at the bar. Get to the bar - it definitely has this upscale, chichi look to it and there are lots of young millennial locals who were here based on the South African languages I could hear.

The food is decent bar food. Ordered the chicken burger with the tacos. I actually thought the tacos were pretty good seeing that we were really hungry. Service takes about 45mins.

I would take the tacos and smaller plates over the chicken burgers. Anyway it is good if you are very hungry and staying at the hotel but the wait time is long.

Good... but not great.
We expected a lot more from such a fancy establishment, especially when reserving weeks in advance for a set menu.

The service was a bit lacking, the live music was something we could go without, the seating wasn't optimal and the food just didn't make us want to go back.

All in all, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.
We probably just went in with higher expectations than we should've because we paid quite a lot for our evening.
Lacuna Bistro gets a 'Good on Ye' from Two Tasty Tummies.
