So Manhattans came out 2nd in the DUC bunny challenge. My Girl friend and I decided to try this place out. I believe this place is an Action bar so don't expect fine dining here. It has its own vibe.
We had a good waiter and Serving times were normal and not too long. The place wasn't too busy either.

Ordered quarter mutton bunny @ R110 which is quiet steep knowing other well known established restaurants sells it cheaper. The bunny looked well presented as the picture. However the main focus would be the flavour and amount of meat. It was way to spicy and a lot of clove taste which was present. Probably call it a clove flavoured mutton bunny. This wasn't to my liking and I'm not sure if there was a mistake with the recipe that day but it just wast hitting right.
For the price the meat wasn't enough. The potato was hard not sure if this was prepared a previous day before. My opinion I wouldnt have a mutton bunny there again. I would probably try something else on the menu. Please note it's not horrible it just wasn't to my liking. Although alot of people did vote them 2nd.

Also ordered half a chicken and chips @R125. Was served with a bun. This was ok and was better than the bunny. The peri peri sauce was nice similar to Mozambique. Very small portion of chips though.

Have heard great reviews about the food and just had to check it out.
I visited during a weekday lunchtime and there was lots of place.
The signature mutton bunny is absolutely delicious.
The paneer pizza is an unusual menu item and equally delicious.
Visits to Durban will definitely include a stop at Manhattans.

Made this a must visit seeing they were voted 2nd for best bunnies.
Service was a little slow. Center was cut shallow so not enough curry in and venue doesn't have a family appeal. Overall, it just satisfied my hunger and not craving.

I bought 2 deconstructed Mutton bunnies and a double buger from Manhattan 28 August 2021, @ 11:30am. I got home and made the food hot, the one bowl had nice amount of curry as always and the other bowl only had a big potato and 2 big pieces of bone and 2 small pieces of mutton.
Then I opened the bread, to make the bunny the top of the bread had white on it and the bread was hard and crumbling. We could not eat the bread, we had to throw it.
Every friday we would by bulk bunnies for everyone at work. I guess this too will now stop.
If we are paying full price, we should be getting what we pay for and not spoilt things. It does not mean if we not sitting in and eating the service must be any different.
I guess this is why the staff is standing outside and calling people inside to come eat.
Don't buy food from Manhattan before 3pm.

Very good mutton bunny with good cuts of meat. Delicious authentic Durban curry. Ample thick gravy and generous portion of salad.

Very disappointed in our purchase of Mutton and Beans bunnies!
Very red curries but no taste at all, still in the fridge no one wants to eat it. Waste of money and time! Don't understand how their bunnies got such raving reviews? Looks lovely but tasteless.

The bunny chows were absolutely delicious ! Staff very friendly and helpful although it is not the type of restaurant that I would dine in but will definitely buy their food again as a take out meal.
