The service was great.
If you're looking for good wine and something from the grill, this is the place to be.
The atmosphere, since I went for a late lunch, was quite cool.
The prices are just above average.
I had the Ostrich, which is game meat and was not that nice for me since I'm not a steak person. I tasted their lamb shank and it was quite divine. Also had their potato chips and olives.
I must say their roasted veggies are out of this world, wow, I really enjoyed them.
Their strawberry daiquiri did, however, taste a bit virgin, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
I personally love the Interior, the floor, the shelves, the books, the wine and how well everything works together.
I enjoyed my lunch and loved how the staff were kind and they even took a couple of nice shots of me.

After hearing about this place from family. I decided to try them out for myself. Being a lover of steaks, ribs and lamb shanks o wanted to see what the hype was about. We had ordered pork ribs which were divine and literally fell off the bone. I tried the 500g rump steak with pepper sauce, the steak was cooked to perfection and the sauce really complimented it. Excellent service from the staff and the prices aren't too bad either. I will definitely be returning there soon.

Hospitality was magnificent.. Thank you for the complimentary fried sweet potato chips. The waiter who took our tables (17 of us) was amazing.. The food was excellent. Nice relaxing music that was not too loud. Wooden tables, leather seats, bookshelves, red carpet, checkered flag floor tiles, this venue is unique and stands out for all the right reasons. Customer service was just as it should be, quick, friendly, helpful.. Only good things to say about this place. Open till late.

Hussar Grill 10/08/2019

Went to Hussar Grill for lunch with family at Gateway. The restaurant was fairly empty and we could choose any seat. We perused the menu and firstly ordered drinks (my glass was dirty and I requested a clean one). We waited a long time for the drinks to arrive... Placed our food orders, and the waiting game began. Eventually our food arrive (Kingklip x2, Pork Belly and Fillet). I had the 600g pork belly, which was good but very rich for my palate. Food was good, but the service was not that good......

I really enjoyed dinner at this place. We were 6 in total.
Staff was super friendly and very welcoming. They are very good at explaining the menu along with your own selection of meat from display if u want.
Ambience is very relaxing.
We had different kind of steaks and my friends enjoyed couple of wines too.
Thank you so much and we should see u guys soon.
I ordered a sirloin steak medium 300g along with a side well which was perfect. I just loved their mushroom sauce.
They’re so generous that they keep spoiling you by extra finger food bites complimentary. Im impressed as I rarely give 5 stars.

Unassuming from the outside! Meals were on point! Service was great! You would be disappointed though if you chose the queen prawns! Was prepared to my expectations! The grilled lamb chops and steak was done to perfection! You can't fault them - it is a steak-house after all!!!

Famous for their Hog Ribs, Gateway, does not offer this on their menu. The steak I ordered was done very poorly, the meat itself was not of a good quality either. A very disappointing meal. Even the vegetables were a disappointment. The manager offered to cook me another steak but I was already put off. He did remove the cost from the menu.
