Barons has been sold and a new restaurant in it's place called the Mesopotamia Kurdish Restaurant. What a place to enjoy a real Kurdish experience. I had a signage job to do for them and while working I ordered a Kurdish focaccia, I was impressed with the flavour of that focaccia, never have I ever tasted a focaccia that good. I have dined and managed at many top restuarant's but never have I experienced such a distinctive flavour. Situated in the heart of Green Market Square. This Kurdish restuarant is a must place to visit.

Traipsing around the CBD after 10pm looking for a venue with an open kitchen (which is almost impossible) my friends and I found our way to Baran's.

As we were a group of seven they kindly kept their kitchen open for us when we arrived at about 10.50pm! We only discovered this much later while we were settling our bill. Apparently they usually close their kitchen around 11pm unless they're busy - in which case they'll remain open to serve customers.

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The menu offered a variety of Kurdish fare to suit most diners. The prices were reasonable too. I'd recommend their pizzas and kebabs. Yummy!

Amaziiing, so far we tried lots of place in Cape Town but this one is the best. The hospitality of the owner and service and the atmosphere were extraordinary. We ate pide and drank tea. We went 3 times in one day because we fell in love with this place. It is just in the center of the city.

Perfect place for chilling with the friends. I strictly recommend to everyone. Regards from Serbia.

Poor service. Orders were forgotten. 10 minutes gap between our two meals.
The served lamb and chicken meat is too dry.

It's a nice place to spend time outdoors in lazy summer evenings though.

Excellent location beside the market and parge patio. 4 stars only because we had drinks and no food.

Where should i begin?
I agree that people put in a great deal of effort to cook a meal and provide a good customer service but so if you are not up for it why get into it ?!!!
Firstly my Lamb pasta was dripping oil, the waiter got the orders mixed up.
I gave them a second chance and they ruined it ...Chicken was burnt!!!!
