Good coffee, bit on the darker side. Also a bit pricey at R30 for a flat white, but it's in long street so maybe that's why.

Beans were underwhelming. Was told that they were roasted a week ago, but they definitely didn't pull like they were. The grind was dry and they smelled slightly stale, like closer to a month old. The roast date was not indicated on the packet, and it being there should be a given for any serious roastery.

Would've been 4 stars if not for the disappointing beans experience.

I was here for my morning caffeine kick on one weekday morning couple of month's back. Service was quick, capuccino was good. Barista was chatty in a good way. Overall a decent experience, this place has touristy vibes from the moment you enter.

After a big lunch we needed a great coffee, from the outside the place seemed nice and actually it was! A really nice barman made us an Amarula Coffee, maybe bit strong since it was 2:30pm but we are on holiday, who cares?! The coffee was perfect, really really good! Highly recommended!

Terrible customer service, racist at its best. The manager told me i can't be coming to this coffee shop because I'm black. He literally targeted me out of all people. The owner was just there watching it happen. Racist organization.

TLDR: This is a good coffee shop for all visitors — socializing, studying, etc. There are plugs, timed WiFi, and good coffee.

This coffee shop is located on a corner in a decent neighborhood of Cape Town. They have a wide offering of good coffee, sweetening syrups, and dairy alternatives like almond milk. Kamili also bakes most of its pastries in house.

The environment is very flexible. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There are tables with plugs, and a bar with stools (but no plugs). Kamili plays a light but lively soundtrack in the background. Whether you’re there to study (like I was) or chat with friends, Kamili will work for you. In exchange for a purchase, you get a free WiFi login. (I’m unsure if the WiFi has a time limit, but I believe it does.)

The only downside for my visit was that the credit card terminal was not working the entire hour I was there. Fortunately, there is an ATM about a block down the street. Overall, I would recommend Kamili.

This is my morning go-to! Service always with a smile and when I get coffee early in the morning I get a free mini croissant. The eggy thingy is a quick breakfast egg and bacon muffin for just R15 which used to be my daily brekkie, then I started getting the salami and mozzarella sandwich which is about R38 if I'm not mistaken. The farm style pie is also a great lunch item and pepper steak filling is great even though the bottom is a tad bit soggy. My double decaf latte sets me back R28 which I never mind paying because the staff makes you feel comfortable and welcomed and the coffee is really good too. Not too strong and bitter, but bodied and good quality.

Awesome coffee! I had coffee beans, it was freshly grounded and super aromatic (Kenyan coffee). Not to mention the egg tart... Definitely a go for in the morning. Only probably is that there's no facilities in the coffee shop, you have to go in the shared area downstairs, and its not so comfortable.
