If you want to know what Bosky Dell is like, read the manager’s argumentative response to the negative trip advisor reviews.
The owners need to provide Launa with urgent assessment and hospitality training. She needs to learn to treat ALL guests equally, with dignity and respect.

FYI: you may not have a record of my stay as my partner booked our holiday.

Bosky Dell : Give it a miss
My daughter booked 2 cottages at Bosky Dell in Dec-Jan
The gas shower in our cottage was awful, the water was either too hot or too cold.
The furniture in both cottages were outdated and uncomfortable.
A towel served as a curtain in the second bedroom of my daughter’s cottage- totally unacceptable.
The views are beautiful but the website mentions a gate that gives one access to the penguin board walk . However, on our arrival we were told that the gate was for the exclusive use of the guests staying in the main house.
On checkout , Launa presented my daughter with an inaccurate exorbitant bill. She refused to pay the bill and Launa threatened to call the police. What? Yes. I was in shock.
On closer scrutiny of the invoice we realised that she tried to charge us extra for the toddler who was 2 years and 13 days old . My daughter refused to pay and Launa had to relinquish.
This manager needs diversity training as she made stereotypical assumptions about us.

We are professional people, nevertheless everyone deserves to be treated with dignity regardless of their station in life. We did not flout any rule, but this manager surely did. She was rude and abusive to us and our guests . She called the armed response and the police while we were just chilling on the patio. Both the police and armed couldn’t find any wrongdoing and left us alone, without so much as warning.
This establishment gets a thumbs down and should definitely be avoided at all cost as the message was clear : we do not need people like you .

Great little place for a couple nights. The stables had an amazing view of the beach and penguins. New security doors and alarm on each cottage, I can't imagine any problems with theft would be possible anymore. There is private parking behind their gate, so you have a spot each for the rooms.

All in all great value for the money, and a nice base to explore the nearby areas and tours.

The white building on the right of my picture is the main house of the property, viewed from on boulders beach. 1 min walk to get from the room to the boardwalk and beach access etc.

Great location. Everything you need to recharge your soul. Management was very accommodating and friendly. Their 2 dogs Leila and dusty were amazing and was like a soothing balm on the soul. Terrific for single, couples and families. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Stunning setting and great relaxing vibe right on the ocean. Access to the water is a short walk over the hill to a great swimming location. Accommodation was very comfortable with several lounging areas to choose from. Well worth the visit.

Perfect location and views. Very comfortable for a short stay. Kitchen smalls and linen and towels all good quality but furnishings are mismatched and look 2nd hand. The b cottage 2nd bedroom had no curtains and the rest of the cottage including mouldy bathroom blind could do with an upgrade. For us it felt over priced! The fact that we had to hand over R1000 CASH deposit on arrival when correspondence said R500 also put a bad taste in my mouth-we have 5 yr old twins so this may have had influence! We had a wonderful stay. Lorna was super friendly and helpful and we took up all her recommendations which made our weekend great.

We had the pleasure of staying over at Bosky Dell for 3 nights just outside Boulder's beach. It was an amazing stay - from arriving and being helped by the friendly and knowledgeable hosts to checking out on our drive back home. The internet and wi-fi was especially good (stable, fast) which made googling Simon's Town and uploading our photos just so easy. The location and literally just being outside the boardwalk down to Boulder's beach was both convenient and what a view while having a braai in our own little spot in the garden during the evening. We'll definately be back :)
